Where You'll Find Me

I'm currently running my blog over at WritersAfterDark.net. I'd love it if you stopped by and hang for a bit! I'll return the favor, promise!

Running two blogs gets a bit difficult, so bear with me while I figure things out. In the meantime, if I could interest you in industry news, writing tips, and poking some fun at writerly problems, you'll find me here:

A to Z Challenge—S.K.-isms! E is for . . .

E is for Elftastic. Well, I think this is obvious: fantastic elf. Example:

Tauriel from the The Hobbit: DOS is pretty badass with her fighting skills and awesome for what she stands for. She is Freakin’ elftastic. Boom.

*Yes, S.K.’s original. I’m not sure I’m impressed either. But:

Allow me to make it up a bit . . . Extra-oldinary. Stands for old extraordinary person. Example:

No words, watch the vids. They’re extra-oldinary! ;)

  2. I love both of these. I want to grow up to be extra-oldinary. 'Cause you KNOW that will be me, dancing in my yard with the neighbors calling the cops.

    3. Edit away. Yes, I had to reply separately to both comments. If I don't the number of comments will be uneven and I will freak out.

  8. I think everyone should set a goal to be extra-oldinary. I absolutely love that dancing man. Wish cell phones with videos were around 15 or so years ago. My cousin asked my 88 year old grandma to dance to Funky Town at a wedding reception. We were all laughing at the thought of even asking her to dance. Turns out she was a regular watcher of Soul Train and had been practicing for months at home. She was amazing.

  9. Tauriel rocks! I'm not a fan of additions in book to movie adaptations, but Tauriel is really cool! And extra-oldinary show us all how to stay young.

  10. I too have been known to stick '-tastic' on the ends of words. I really like extra-oldinary. I'm going to have to start using that one! :)
