Where You'll Find Me

I'm currently running my blog over at WritersAfterDark.net. I'd love it if you stopped by and hang for a bit! I'll return the favor, promise!

Running two blogs gets a bit difficult, so bear with me while I figure things out. In the meantime, if I could interest you in industry news, writing tips, and poking some fun at writerly problems, you'll find me here:

Good Busy Times, Summer Time

So I'm back from vacation. I've been back for over a week already, in fact. YES, I have been ignoring you, but unpurposely on purpose, if that makes sense. Sometimes the best things to do for our family is to spend time with them. Who knew?
(No, the internet didn't go down, but I think it's funny so I'm forcing you to read it.)

Since my vacation, I've been working continuously on several of my WIPs. I really got inspired while I was away with my beautiful view. It rained most of the time, but I was secretly very happy because it gave me some working time. Heck, I even had a sidekick while I was writing. (Look closely.)
Cool, huh? http://eemoticons.net

Anyway, apart from writing I've been hanging out with the kids a lot. Not very different from normal, except that I've been outdoors mostly. They're at that age where they're exploring more on their own and I love seeing them run around and hear them laughing. So for the next few weeks or so I'll be on and off with blogging. I'll be visiting you, but not as often. And I'd say I'm sorry but the kids are loving the heat—even if it melts me. But you know:

This post is part of Celebrate the Small Things hop. It comes with easy instructions: sign up, post something to celebrate, hop around, cheer on others, and bask in warm glow. Full instructions and badge *here.*
What are you celebrating?

  1. Sounds like you've benefitted immensely for your break, so good for you. I also melt in the heat (Dubai is roasting right now), but yes... kids exploring and laughing must make the sweat more bearable. :)

  6. That looks like a great writing buddy, mine is my cat. She sleeps on my lap and I have to type really quietly so I don't disturb her.

  7. I'm glad you had an enjoyable vacation and that you found plenty of inspiration! I've been spending a lot of time with my kids too. Unfortunately, we've been getting a lot of rain lately, so there hasn't been as much opportunity to go outside as I would like. Oh well. We'll make the best of our time together regardless of what the weather does.

  9. I loved summers with the kids. I hated it when they went back to school. I'm glad you and your beautiful view had a good time, but you could take me on vacation instead of the view, who doesn't appreciate the trip.

    Love,
    Janie

  10. Glad to hear you and a wonderful time. And to have inspiration too is a double reason to celebrate. It's wonderful to have the kids home (although it totally kills writing time). When school starts, it's always a bummer for all of us ;) Enjoy your time with them!

  14. That's one of the best parts of vacation--in the morning before everyone gets up, going outside and writing or reading with that beautiful view in front of you!

  15. Congrats for your great vacay and all you've accomplished on your WIPs! Isn't it amazing how hot weather doesn't seem to bother kids? How is that? Maybe it's karma that when you get older and NEED the A/C, you can finally afford it. Have a good weekend! :)

  18. Love your sidekick! And the view (I skipped down a post. ...sigh...) and it helped you enjoy the time with your family on vacation, and your writing.
